Supervised Contact
We are a member of Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Supervised Contact Services. Our trained supervisors provide a safe and controlled environment where a child can spend time with there parent or other person who does not have day-to-day care of them. Supervised contact can give a parent the chance to rebuild their relationship with their child.
Supervised contact can be made as a private arrangement between family members or the court can make an Order about supervised contact. If the judge has concerns about a child’s safety – for example, if there have been allegations of violence or a Protection Order has been made. The court can also order supervised contact in situations that don’t involve violence – for example, to reintroduce a parent to a child when they haven’t been in contact for a while. These visits can be for a specific amount of time and the court can review these supervised contact arrangements at any time, especially if a temporary Protection Order is made. For more information contact us. (Link NCH to contact form)
Room Hire
We have a range of rooms for hire within the Centre for the community to access services, workshops, seminars, training and support networks. The cost to hire is dependant on the size of the room and length of time the room is required for. The Community House is wheelchair accessible and the carpark contains a dedicated accessible parking space.
We act as a referral point for information, administer and maintain the facility, and liaise with other organisations to raise awareness about issues affecting our local community.
Fruit & Vege Co-Op
The Fruit & Vege Co-op has been running for over 10 years. This is a great way to get fresh Fruit and vegetables weekly or fortnightly. You choose the frequency and the number of boxes you want. In each box we try make sure the basics are in there such as potato’s, carrots or onions plus a green vegetable and two – three types of fresh fruit. This varies from week to week and season to season, the produce is seasonal, so it depends on what’s in season and what our buyer can get the best deal on.
You order and pay by 12 noon on a Wednesday and we get the produced delivered from the markets on a Thursday morning. The bulk delivery is then broken down into the ordered number of boxes for that week. You can collect you produced after 11.00 am on Thursday.
Any orders not collected by 3.00pm Friday will be considered a donation and distributed to local families in need. No refunds no carry overs.
